Lee heads up our Living Sector capabilities, utilising his experience from previous senior directorial roles at FirstPort Group and Orchard & Shipman, providing consultancy and management services across a wide range of residential offerings.

Lee has previously had management responsibility for the UK’s largest BTR scheme at Wembley and advised high street names and investment funds on innovating new styles of BTR and residential offerings to market.

Our client acquired a residential block of 105 apartment units in a new development at Canning Town, and required expert assistance to mobilise, lease-up and manage the building and community. Our central Build to Rent team provided advice, support and consultancy alongside creating a compelling brand for the scheme that enabled a high-velocity leasing programme through to stabilisation.

In 2023, Carter Jonas was appointed as leasing and managing agent for 105 units contained in a standalone block within the Brunel Street Works development at Canning Town.

The development consists of a single standalone core, with high-specification units, comprising one-, two- and three-bedroom lateral apartments above a newly constructed amenity space, with resident’s lounge, gym, co-working space and café facility.

Having completed a successful leasing-up period, the scheme is now stabilised and managed by our experienced site team, who also provide the community management services.

Our Central London property management team is managing all the tenancies, dealing with any maintenance issues, ongoing safety checks and carrying out periodic inspections.

Environmental, economic and social impact of the project

One of the key aspects of ensuring the scheme is successful is creating and curating the local community. Our on-site community manager regularly organises resident events, and we have a thriving community driven by our dedicated resident’s app. Our team have engaged with residents to create a wide array of social networking groups and communities, including a gardening club (at our gated allotments), a dog-walking community, gym community, and recently a painting group.
