HyNet North West is a low carbon and hydrogen energy project which will require significant new development of infrastructure across the North West of England and North Wales. The project once opened will serve Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire and parts of North Wales and Lancashire.

The Hynet project has three phases over the next 10 years:

Phase One: The development of the project through exploring options for decarbonisation and clean hydrogen provided by the HyNet Scheme.

Phase Two: The delivery and installation of the infrastructure required to supply the pipeline and surrounding connections.

Phase Three: The supply of hydrogen for flexible power and fuelling network for transport.

How we can help you get compensation if you are affected by the new HyNet hydrogen pipeline

To install the infrastructure, HyNet will require access across third party land, initially to complete various surveys and in due course to acquire the land to install the pipeline infrastructure.

At Carter Jonas, we have a specialist infrastructures team who deal with compulsory purchase claimant work on a day-to-day basis. The team have leading experts in the sector and a wide variety of knowledge in the Compulsory Purchase Code and arranging accessing and rights over land. We act on behalf of several landowners and occupiers affected by a variety of schemes subject to compulsory acquisition.

Any parties which are affected by this scheme, we have the expertise to represent and negotiate on your behalf with HyNet’s delivery team to ensure a smooth acquisition and compensation process.

If you have received correspondence from HyNet and are affected by the scheme, please get in touch with our Birmingham Office on birmingham@carterjonas.co.uk.
