London, 31 January 2012, Carter Jonas today announced the opening of a new commercial flagship office in Mayfair, a landmark step for the firm, which employs over 500 staff nationwide in the residential, commercial and rural sectors.

The firm has acquired 1,820 sq ft of office space in Berger House, Berkley Square, in order to support the growth of its commercial business as well as strengthen its central London presence.

In addition, the firm is to launch a new Planning & Development division in line with its strategy to offer a more comprehensive commercial service across London and the UK.  The new division will be led by Chris Haworth, who has headed up the firm’s commercial division for the last seven years and will offer the following services; Planning; Strategic Land; Residential Development; Commercial Development; and Architecture and Building Consultancy.  

From 1 March 2012, Planning & Development will operate from the new London premises alongside Carter Jonas’s Infrastructures, Central London Agency and Asset Management teams.
