London, 19 June 2014, The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has announced that national property consultancy Carter Jonas LLP, along with 13 other companies, has been appointed to its property panel, which will deliver property related services in all areas of England.

The panel has been procured through a fully OJEU compliant process meaning property related services can be drawn down by the HCA and its partners more quickly and cost effectively via mini tender.

The HCA has operated a property panel for 12 years with the new panel replacing one which has run since 2010 and has been used by a total of 80 partner organisations. Rates tendered through the new panel are around 20% more competitive than currently.

The new panel is larger than the HCA’s previous panel offering greater choice and capacity to public sector users, with a total of 14 companies appointed:

Panels Manager Deborah Vogwell said “We were very impressed by the quality of submissions we received from bidders. The panel offers the HCA and other public sector bodies the means to procure a range of property related services quickly and easily. The new panel is made available free to a wide range of public sector bodies and will support the HCA’s expanding land role, while also helping other public bodies dispose of land their more quickly.

The panel will be used to procure up to £100 million in property related services including; property consultancy, agency services (site disposals and acquisitions), estate management, appraisal and financial services and project management. The panel will run for 4 years.
