6 November 2013, Carter Jonas has expanded its masterplanning team with the recruitment of Shanka Mesa Siverio as urban designer who joins from Levitt Bernstein Architects.

Shanka has a Masters in Sustainable Place Making and Urban Design and will support Rebecca Sanders and John Phillipps, both masterplanners who joined from LDA Design in October 2012 to provide Carter Jonas’ clients with national masterplanning and urban design services.

Rebecca, head of masterplanning, Carter Jonas said:  “In just a year, we have had to recruit as we are currently involved in a substantial number of  projects across the UK and are busier than ever.  We are recruiting a year ahead of what we had forecast in our business plan, and over the next two years, we plan to grow to a team of up to six people.

“Our work is so varied, from initial site promotion to producing complex masterplans as part of planning applications.  Few of our rivals can compete with the holistic service that we offer Carter Jonas’ clients.  Shanka’s appointment will help us to continue to grow and provide our clients with an exceptional masterplanning service.”
