03 October 2014, National property consultancy Carter Jonas has expanded its residential business in London through the strategic acquisition of independent estate agency Boileaus.
The acquisition will take effect from 17 October 2014 and will mean that Boileaus’ two residential sales and lettings offices in Barnes, will increase the Carter Jonas national network to 31 offices, with 11 in London including the firm’s headquarters at One Chapel Place, W1.
Mark Granger, chief executive, Carter Jonas, said, “The London village of Barnes has performed exceptionally well with prices rising 59% in the last 5 years, and due to the popularity of this location, we anticipate steady growth in SW13 and SW14 over the next few years.”
“This acquisition follows a natural pattern of expansion in London, linking our presence in the Capital to our offices in the Home Counties. Boileaus brings to our firm 23 years of residential property experience and a strong, invaluable reputation in the Borough of Richmond-on-Thames.”
Senior Partner at Boileaus, Jeremy Boileau Wright, said: “The combination of our two businesses will enable us to bring together our valuable local expertise with Carter Jonas’ extensive national offering of residential agency and professional services. This partnership will enable us to deliver even more to our clients.”
Mark Granger said: “The purchase of Boileaus follows our successful acquisition of independent south west London agent Sullivan Thomas last year. It is in line with our ambitious national expansion strategy, which has seen our turnover grow from £19m in 2009 to over £40m in 2014.”
