Carter Jonas has secured two new leases at the Broers Building on the University of Cambridge’s innovation district at Cambridge West.

Next Gen Diagnostics UK Ltd (NGD) and Nu Quantum Ltd (NQ) have both signed up for space. 
 
NGD has agreed a five-year lease on Suite F3, comprising 718 sq ft. Founded by Dr Paul A. Rhodes along with Sanger Institute group leaders, NGD has built and validated world-leading automation of pathogen bioinformatics, enabling high-throughput low-cost clinical use of whole-genome sequencing. Its development at the site follows the formation of its UK subsidiary in March this year.
 
NQ has expanded its operation, taking additional space to increase its laboratory provision. NQ has secured a new five-year lease on Suite S2, comprising 1,872 sq ft and extended its lease on Suite G3, taking its total footprint in the building to 5,409 sq ft. 

NQ is building the quantum networking infrastructure essential to scaling quantum computers, by interconnecting quantum computing cores into large distributed clusters. Partnering with leading QC companies, governments and research groups, it is creating full hardware solutions to create entangled qubit networks and accelerate the roadmap towards multi-core quantum supercomputers and quantum data centres.
 
Broers Building provides established research and development space benefitting from a prominent position in the heart of the innovation district at Cambridge West. Located one mile from Cambridge City centre, Cambridge West supports world-changing innovation through its unique interdisciplinary approach in a collaborative environment, which is anchored by the world-class rigour and quality of the University of Cambridge. 

The building accommodates growing businesses operating in the R&D, technology, physical and life sciences sectors that support the Cambridge eco-system, and is configured to provide flexibility across the floor areas.
