On behalf of Canmoor, joint agents Carter Jonas and VSL & Partners have secured a new occupier for 8,892 sq ft (826 sq m) of space at Eyston Way Industrial Estate in Abingdon.

Oxfordshire-based Pergolux UK Ltd. (Pergolux), a leading provider of standard aluminium pergolas, has taken Unit 11 on the well-established estate. The estate is popular with trade counter occupiers and located within the primary commercial/industrial area of Abingdon, adjacent to the new Fairacres Retail Park.

The mid-terrace modern unit has recently been refurbished and includes two loading doors, a large loading area, space for car parking as well as a fitted first-floor office.

Will Preece, Canmoor, commented: “We are delighted to have signed up Pergolux at Unit 11, Eyston Way Industrial Estate for what will be their first UK premises. We look forward to working with them closely to best facilitate their growth in the future.”

Michelle Tran, Pergolux UK, Country Head, said: “Abingdon is an optimal location for warehouse and distribution facilities, due in large part to the proximity to nearby ports and transportation corridors. The pressure to add more facilities has increased as a result of PERGOLUX extensive international growth. Our cooperation with Canmoor will serve as a solid foundation for our expansion strategy, providing our potential customers with shorter lead time and better service.”

Adrian Chan, Senior Surveyor, Commercial, Carter Jonas, said: “With established infrastructure links to Oxford, Reading and Swindon, Abingdon is an ideal place for occupiers, such as Pergolux, needing to fulfil client requirements from across the country. The unit has strong property fundamentals, and this, coupled with a lack of other quality space in the region, led to high levels of interest in the site being received. These factors enabled us to agree on strong market terms on behalf of our client.”
