Carter Jonas has appointed sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) expert Rohan Shiram as its new Head of Sustainability, based out of the firm's headquarters, One Chapel Place, London.
Rohan joins from WeWork, where he was Director of Energy, Sustainability and Social Impact for the EMEA and APAC regions, and has over 15 years of national and international experience in the field of energy, sustainability and ESG in the public and private real estate sector. An industry leader, Rohan has a successful track record of delivering design and operational efficiencies through energy, carbon and cost reductions, water and waste efficiency, circular economy, health and wellbeing, social value and climate-related risk assessments. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in working with global corporate teams to set, monitor and manage ESG and sustainability strategies and net zero targets for large portfolio projects.
In his new role, Rohan is responsible for the implementation and performance of Carter Jonas's overarching ESG policy and sustainability targets, enabling the firm to adopt strategies and activities that meet the needs of its clients and business while protecting, sustaining, and enhancing human and natural resources. He will also work closely with the firm's national network of professionals to further develop its range of sustainability and ESG services to find new ways of supporting existing and new client mandates to deliver on their sustainability commitments.
