Carter Jonas has promoted Richard Love as Partner and Head of Architecture and Building Consultancy (ABC) across the UK, alongside several other new appointments.

Jason Brown and Keith Fuller both join as Partner. Chris Dyer joins as Associate Partner, Daisy Fox-Pope joins as Associate whilst Philip Holman, Associate, will move from Carter Jonas’s northern hub office in Leeds to Bath. Emma Murphy also joins the growing project management team as Assistant Project Manager.

Love has over 15 years of building surveying experience working for a variety of public and private sector clients including; Hitachi, the London Borough of Camden, Kingston University, the Natural History Museum and British Telecom/Telereal. Having joined Carter Jonas as Head of Building surveying in 2015, in his new role, Love will grow the 30 strong team to deliver a full range of building-related and architectural services across the country.

Scott Harkness, head of commercial, Carter Jonas said:
“This is an exciting time for our ABC team and it’s a pleasure to announce Richard’s appointment alongside so many new joiners. With technology driving innovation across our industry the role of the Building Consultancy team is changing dramatically. We already offer a wide range of expertise covering building surveying, architecture, project management and cost consultancy and, moving forward, Richard is tasked with growing our team across the UK to ensure it is flexible and able to adapt to the evolving requirements of our growing client base.

“Richard takes up the mantle from Colin Buggey who has expertly established, led and grown the team for over 20 years. Colin remains working with Carter Jonas on a consultancy basis. Whilst he’s a tough act to follow, we feel confident we have the right people in place to ensure the future success of our clients and the team.”

Brown joins as Head of Project Management overseeing the service line on a national basis. He has previously worked in a number of major consultancies including, EC Harris and, Turner & Townsend, where he led a team delivering public and private sector projects. He brings a variety of experience in project management and has been responsible for the delivery of turnkey design projects within regeneration and housing, commercial and the educational sector. In Oxford, Dyer, who joins from Capita, will head the Project Management team across the region. With over ten years’ experience in the sector, Dyer manages construction projects throughout the lifecycle from conception and development through to completion and the onward use of the new facility.

Fuller, based out of Carter Jonas’s Cambridge office, will lead the firm’s ABC offering across the region. Formerly a partner with Bidwells, he has extensive experience in building surveying and significant knowledge of both the Cambridgeshire and national markets. Fox-Pope joins from Cushman and Wakefield as an associate building surveyor in London. She has a wide range of experience including dilapidations, project work, technical due diligence, and party wall matters, across a range of commercial properties.

Richard Love, Partner, added:
“With a record number of projects currently under management it is extremely positive to be growing the team with significant hires in building surveying and project management. Over the past 12 months we have built the team, as well as the breadth of our capabilities, and by welcoming Jason, Keith, Chris and Daisy we now stand at 30 people strong across the UK. Moving forward we will leverage their collective expertise and that of the existing team for the benefit of new and existing clients.”
