In 2017, our Commercial, Planning & Development and Rural teams had 24 new graduates join the firm across 16 of our offices including: Chapel Place, London; Oxford, York and Birmingham.

Last week, as part of our structured graduate training programme, our graduates participated in our bi-annual APC training days.  This is an exciting opportunity to welcome and induct our new graduates followed by a further days’ training and networking for all of our 80 graduates from across the business at Hellidon Lakes Hotel and Spa in Daventry. It is a jam packed, but fun, schedule with them being involved in a variety of workshops and training including: inductions with RICS and RTPI, outlining how to get through the APC programmes, technical training for our core divisions and also training on business skills linked to mandatory competencies.  We start every day with an ice breaker so our grads can get to know each other and engage their competitive streaks!  This year we had serious input from our building surveyors to create the tallest and strongest tower from spaghetti and marshmallows!

Our APC days are a great opportunity for everyone to learn new skills and develop their knowledge during their two years with us whilst getting the support from the qualified APC team to ensure they pass their APC with confidence and the knowledge required. As you can see, we also have a lot of fun and make sure the graduates have the opportunity to socialise at various evening events such as Bowling and BBQs.
